Copper casting alloys are used in applications that demand high levels of corrosion resistance, higher thermal and/or electrical conductance. Beryllium, silicon, aluminum, nickel, tin, zinc, and chromium are the main elements which combine with copper to form copper alloys. There is endless scope for copper alloys that come in thousands of forms. Copper alloys are widely classified into three groups. The first group copper alloys freeze at around 50oC. The range of freezing temperature for second group alloys is between 50oC and 110oC and the third group alloys freeze at 110oC to 170oC.
