Ordinarily, the process required to create a square interior effect utilizing 356 aluminum is deceptively complex, as well as very costly and time consuming.

Conventional machining involves the use of a broach to "cut" the thin-walled square hole. Further complicating the manufacturing process are the notched and beveled ends through the closed end of the square.

Investment casting greatly simplified the production. Our extensive knowledge of aluminum enabled us to fashion the piece precisely to the customer’s specifications at a fraction of the cost of conventional machining.
