Medical tables are those uncomfortable, adjustable tables that we have all had to sit on while waiting for the doctor to come into the exam room. Usually they are covered with a strip of paper that runs the length of the table and has all the thickness of tissue paper. They are also those tables that are used for X-rays, to receive chiropractic adjustments or that patients lie on in some recovery rooms. Medical hospital tables are seen in every office, hospital, department and room in any medical facility. These tables/beds/chairs that allow a patient to sit, recline or lie down may have many different forms and designs. A medical table may also be referred to as a medical treatment table, adjustable treatment lounge, procedure table, ultrasound table, echo image table, bariatric table, chiropractic treatment tables, taping table or recovery couch. |

Most of these medical patient tables are adjustable in a variety of ways. Some have drawers and cupboards for storage. While some tables are made of wood and are very simple in design, most are made of metal and range from very simple to intricate and motorized. The designs vary according to the type of patient or medical practice. What does this have to do with Shelmet Castings? Well, while we dont make the table or put it together, we have cast parts that are vital to the function of medical tables. The more intricate the part the more likely it is that Shelmet is the answer. A while back, a client approached Shelmet with a design for a universal medical table clamp jaw. They had already presented the design to several other casting companies who were unable to cast the intricate configurations that included coring. |

Once again, Shelmets experience and expert staff were able to save the day, and it all started by submitting a design after requesting an investment casting quote.
